What to Include in a Monthly Investor Update

Investors want to see the same numbers in the same order every month. A regular update also makes it easier to ask for help when you need it.
The numbers
Share MRR, net new MRR, churn, cash balance and runway. Show each one next to last month’s figure.
The story
Add a few lines on what went well, what didn’t, and what you are doing about it.
The ask
Finish with one specific request, such as an introduction or advice on a hire.
